We are open from Monday to Friday 08.30 to 16.00.  We are closed during the school holidays and on statutory holidays; these days are not charged.  In addition to this we offer 3 weeks extended sessions in the Summer to children from both nurseries and is held at our Norman Way nursery. Sessions can be combined to meet individual needs; however we require a minimum attendance of two sessions a week. The sessions available can be seen on the side of this page.

Payment of Fees

Fees are payable in advance either monthly or termly. Monthly fees are due on the 1st of each month and termly fees are payable on the 1st of the month before each term commences. Any overdue fees will incur a £10 late payment charge. Fees remain payable throughout absences and a 2 week notice period is required to reduce or remove sessions. All fees are payable by bank transfer, childcare vouchers or Government Tax-free childcare scheme. 

1. Children eligible for Government funding

In the term after your child’s third birthday they will be entitled to 15 hours of free childcare to pay towards your childcare costs. Working parents may also be eligible for an additional 15 hours of free childcare and entitlement can be checked in the term before your child’s third birthday on www.childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk/par/app/applynow. For some 2 year olds who meet a criteria 15 hours of free childcare is also available. You can check your entitlement in the term before your child’s second birthday on www.leicestershire.gov.uk .

As the Government funding only covers the cost of your child’s education there is a weekly surcharge for consumables and sundries not covered by this funding as follows:

• Children in receipt of 2 year funding £2 per week
• Children in receipt of 3 year 15 hour funding £5 per week
• Children in receipt of 30 hour extended entitlement funding £8 per week
• Any additional hours outside of the free childcare funding will remain unaltered and be charged at £6.50 per hour.

2. Children under 3 years who are not eligible for Government funding 

From September 2023 the FEEE funded hours will be restricted from 8:30 to 15:00. For anyone wishing to use the after clubs 14:45-16:00 the first 15 minutes will be taken from your funding entitlement and the additional hour will be charged at the hourly rate. Please note that the afternoon, short day and full day sessions require a packed lunch.

To support parents / carers with childcare costs for children of all ages the Government introduced the  Tax-Free Childcare scheme. This enables parents to open an online account and pay into this to cover your cost of childcare.
